
I am originally from Scotland, and have lived and worked in Zambia, Nigeria, Scotland, England, and New Zealand. In 2021 I retired to the East Riding of Yorkshire where I continue to be an independent scholar studying and writing on food and culture. This blog reflects my interests in food, foodways, the politics of food, gastronomy, food history, food justice, women and food/eating, food sovereignty.
